Using our method, jump up to 6 grades, in 3 months or less.
As you may already know there are 3 papers for the Chemistry national exam.
Here’s a screenshot from the official Cambridge guidelines:
However, most tuition centres prepare students for Paper 1 and 2 only.
But at Achievers Dream, on top of helping your child score for Paper 1 and 2, we also have the resources to help them ace their Paper 3 (Practical) exam too.
As the most well-equipped tuition centre in Singapore that specialises in Chemistry, we provide all resources for your child like:
This is why we have successfully helped our students score for ALL papers in the exam, including practical.
Fully Equipped MOE-Registered Chemistry Lab With Qualified Lab Technician
2 years worth of preparation, careful planning and applying for clearance from 6 different government agencies and MOE itself.
By having a fully functioning lab within our premises, students get real hands-on experience with all experiments.
This ensures that our students have enough practice to become more familiar with this part of the exam and gain more confidence.
On top of that, our students are also exposed to all different types of practical exams that may appear during the national exam. (For example, there are 5 types for Pure Chemistry.)
This gives them an unfair advantage over other students and helps them to score.
Having more practical sessions also allows students to see the reactions they learn in theory classes, which helps them to understand and recall concepts better. So this helps them score in Paper 1 and 2 too!
Focus On Building Strong Foundation
We believe in building a strong foundation in our students first before helping them to master the more complex concepts.
Suppose you are reading a book series but you start from the middle book instead of the first.
No matter how hard you try, you’ll never fully understand the story because you don’t have a foundational knowledge from the earlier books.
The same principle applies to learning Chemistry.
Your child won’t be able to write chemical equations if they don’t have a strong understanding of foundational topics like atomic structure and bonding.
Distilled Designer Summary Notes
After your child learns a topic, they’ll get summarised notes.
At one look, they can see all the important concepts for that topic.
And this is done for every topic in the syllabus.
Each note is prepared by our team that consists of experienced tutors, with some who even have masters & PhD. We collectively have more than 100 years of teaching experience.
The notes are then designed by a professional designer.
Each page costs us about $160 to create! That’s how much resource we are willing to invest just to ensure our students’ success.
But the best part is our notes will save your child at least 30 hours of revision time if they were to flip through their textbook page by page.
Active Learning
We’ve created different types of booklets for each topic. These are used during the lesson and are projected on the SMART board that is in each of our classroom.
The SMART board makes your child’s learning experience seamless as they have the exact replica of the teaching material that the tutor is using.
Because of this, they can follow the lesson closely and understand better.
We will also explain our thought process behind each concept so your child can understand the logic without memorising blindly.
In addition, after each concept is taught, there is an application exercise. This enables your child to apply what they just learnt, which strengthens their understanding.
They’ll also be able to clarify any doubts immediately.
Step 1
Diagnostic Test
Your child will take a short test for us to determine their current level of knowledge and understanding for Chemistry.
From this test, we’ll know exactly the areas for improvement that your child has to work on before they can improve their grades.
The test will also include a learning style assessment. You’ll understand if your child is an auditory, visual or kinesthetic learner.
This affects the studying and learning strategy that your child should adopt when preparing for the exams.
Step 2
Tour Of Chemistry Lab
Our staff will bring you and your child to check out our fully equipped and MOE-registered Chemistry lab.
We are able to replicate the same exact conditions that your child will experience at the actual national exams.
This helps our students to be more familiar with the exam format and setting, which increases their confidence, helping them to score for the practical exam.
Step 3
Results & Cheat Sheets
We’ll go through the test results with your child.
They will know the exact areas where they have gaps in their understandings and why they are not scoring for Chemistry.
To help your child improve, we’ll even be giving away copies of our coveted cheat sheets for FREE!
These materials are only available to our students and cannot be bought outside.
Many of our students prefer using our notes to revise compared to those provided in school as ours is concise and summarises all the key learning points that Cambridge examiners will test.
So much so that we’ve had students who have friends that ask where they got the notes from. This is a testament to how effective they are in helping our students study and revise.
Limited Lab Time In School To Practice
Due to the limited time in school, many students face challenges because of the lack of practice and exposure.
For example, in general, students may be exposed to a selected few types of questions 1-2 times only.
Even if students want to practice closer to the exam, the labs are all closed off for the staff to prepare the venue for the exam.
So students end up having to rely on their experience from the limited lab sessions previously.
At Achievers Dream, your child will be exposed to ALL types of practical questions at least 4 times than they do in school.
Change In Syllabus
Furthermore, there was a change in how the practical exam is being conducted. Previously, the paper is set internally in each school.
However, students now take a national practical exam that is more unpredictable and even more challenging.
For example, pure chemistry students will now face 1 out of 5 types of questions.
In the past, they just had to be familiar with 1 type of question as teachers can prepare them with practices, since they were the ones setting the questions.
Coupled with the lack of practice and exposure, many students tend to score poorly for this part of the exam.
Increase In Difficulty
The level of difficulty for Paper 1 and 2 has also increased over the years .
For example, there’s 20% less of simple recall type of questions and 40% of the paper now consists of higher order thinking questions.
In fact, junior college level questions can now appear in ‘O’ Levels.
This is why it is important for your child to also score for the practical component, so they have more buffer to score for their overall Chemistry grade easily and comfortably.
We’ve helped more than 800 students from over 90+ schools all over Singapore.
They’re willing to travel to our centre at Bukit Timah, even from areas like Serangoon and as far as Pasir Ris!
Before joining our classes, 95% of them were scoring ‘C’ or below. With our guidance, 91.3% of them eventually scored ‘A’ or ‘B’ at the national exams.
From F9 To A1 For Pure Chemistry
(Isaac Goh, Bukit Panjang Batok Secondary School)
“Before joining AD, I really dreaded chemistry as I constantly got F9 because my foundation was really weak. It was to the point where even if I studied, I will still get F9. So I didn’t see the point of trying anymore.
After 2 months in AD, I finally got a C6. This boosted my morale to strive for better results in chemistry.
After 4 months in AD, it helped strengthen my foundation and I managed to get my first A1. After even more practice, I topped the class in CA1.
The worksheets they have are very self-explanatory and have many notes. The questions are compiled from many different schools in Singapore.
So before exams, all you have to do is to look through the worksheets and the notes and you’re all set!”
From U To A For H2 Chemistry
(Jabez Ng, Anglo Chinese Junior College)
“AD has been truly enlightening in helping me to explain the gaps I have in Chemistry.
It also provides me with many practices on fundamental concepts as well as application questions.
Notes wise, they are beautifully summarised and designed by professional designers and it really make me learn Chemistry easier...
The notes have been beautifully summarised and have provided me with even more information about various facts and concepts which my school notes have not provided me with.
It’s a really good advantage and it truly helped me to better understand the lessons and catch up better with my classmates as well.”
From E8 To A1 For IP Chemistry
(Tan Jeng Qian, Nanyang Girls’ High School (IP))
“Before joining AD, I scored E8 for Chemistry.
Now, I have been maintaining an A1.
I find AD focuses a lot on our foundation and this helps ensure that we can progress steadily in newer topics.
They also have very concise notes which help a lot with our revision for our tests and exams.”
The Achievers Dream Advantage…
Our Customised Accelerated Foundation Method™
At Achievers Dream, we strongly believe that a student’s foundation is the most important thing to work on first before helping them master more complex concepts.
Because of this, before joining our classes, all students take a short diagnostic test for us to determine their current level of understanding.
Depending on their result, they are then recommended to join different level classes.
This is because students who are scoring different grades have different challenges to work on.
For example, if your child is currently failing or barely passing, then it means their foundational knowledge is weak. So they need to focus on patching up any gaps they have in the basic concepts first.
If not, they won’t be able to understand the more complicated concepts later. We would recommend these students to attend our L1 classes.
On the other hand, if your child is already scoring A/B, then they need to focus more on the higher order thinking questions as they are probably losing precious marks in this area, preventing them from scoring A consistently.
These students will benefit from our L3 classes where we challenge students with more open ended and higher order thinking questions.
This methodology is how we’ve helped 800+ of our students to achieve at least 2 or more grade improvements, with 9 out of 10 students scoring 'A' & 'B'.

We have existing MOE teachers advising us on the latest updates on the syllabus.
We review all our worksheets, cheat sheets, notes on an annual basis to ensure they are all aligned with the MOE and Cambridge requirements.
Furthermore, we compile questions from all the schools and include those that are relevant in the workbooks that we create in-house.
We even scour 30 years worth of ten years series questions and pick out the relevant questions for your child to practice on.
All of these ensure that our students are always getting the most updated and most relevant content year after year.
About Us
The Achievers Dream team is made up of experienced tutors, Master graduates and even PhD holders.
All teachers have to go through a competency test to determine if they qualify for an interview. They then have to teach a lesson monitored by our principal and will receive feedback from students regarding their lesson.
This feedback will be taken account into assessing their application to join our team.
We also conduct regular meetings to update each other on the latest teaching techniques and any changes in the syllabus.
We are Singapore’s FIRST & ONLY premier chemistry specialist tuition centre (in Bukit Timah) with the 'Customised Accelerated Foundation Method™ and equipped with a Chemistry lab to help students learn easier and faster.

Yes, we understand that students nowadays have a lot of other commitments besides their studies.
Give us a heads up and we will advise your child on the available dates for make-up accordingly.
Based on their diagnostic test result, we will have a clearer picture of your child’s current understanding. We will then recommend them to join either our L1/L2/L3 class.
We are also open to scheduling bridging classes as and when necessary.
We keep our class sizes small at 15 to 18 students per class.
In general, our fees are slightly above the average market rate. It can range from $90/lesson to $110/lesson.
However, this includes the additional lab classes that other centres do not offer as well as the professional designer notes.
We are also open to having students opt for the theory class only without the lab classes. However, as you’ve read above, scoring in practical is crucial for students to score in Chemistry. As such, we highly encourage all students to take both classes.
